On the most basic level, I really appreciate a piece of carefully crafted hardware, and in a more abstract perspective, the same goes for a smart coding algorithm or mechanical design. I think the good dentists are doing the same thing. The older dentists are trying to achieve the best precision to get a tiny incremental improvements, while the younger ones are probably doing some "sculpturing" to tweaking his work to meet his ideal appearances.
